These spiritual guides have evolved throughout their incarnations and today practice charity and offer protection as entities of the Linha das Matas.   <\/p><p><br><br>In addition to offering protection against negative energies and obsessive spirits, Caboclos defend terreiros and mediums, creating a safe environment for spiritual development. Furthermore, Exu is associated with the energy of communication. <\/p><p><br><br><br>Pombagira is the energy of vitality, and is the feminine vibration of Exu. They also represent protection, strength, and opening paths. Pombagiras, like Exu, work to rescue the disembodied in need of assistance.  <\/p><p><br><br><br>Ex\u00fa Mirim are the enchanted beings in the Guardian Line; they were not incarnated spirits like the Ex\u00fas, Pombagiras, and Malandros. They are considered a more playful manifestation of Ex\u00fa\\&#8217;s energy, with characteristics reminiscent of children or mischievous young people.   <\/p><p><br><br><br>Malandro\/Malandra is a line of work that is treated in many different ways across the various branches of Umbanda. Thus, we have Umbanda Giras with music, bonfires, and abundant decorations reminiscent of a Gypsy encampment. However, the Gypsy People in the Umbanda House should never be confused with the Gypsies, who still cultivate their culture and traditions today. <\/p><p><br><br><br>Also called the Children of the Wind, the Guides who work in this line use the gypsy deck, but not all mediums use this element. This line of thought allows Guides to bring knowledge of magic to obtain prosperity, love, and abundance.
